The Premium trim is available with seven or eight seats and adds rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitors with lane change assist, and automatic emergency steering to help avoid collisions below 50 mph. Subaru’s EyeSight safety suite is standard on all Ascents and bundles safety tech, such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure steering assist and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. Standard equipment includes 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, adaptive auto high-beam LED headlights, a 5,000-pound towing capacity with a trailer stability system, tri-zone automatic climate control, and an 11.6-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and HD and satellite radio. The base Ascent is only available with a second-row bench seat and room for eight. Subaru’s three-row SUV continues to be available in seven- and eight-seat configurations, all powered by a 260-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine paired with aĬontinuously variable automatic transmission. Having received minor styling and technology updates last year, the Subaru Ascent rolls into the 2024 model year largely unchanged.
